Why Inbound Links to Sites
Are Taken Into Account

 

Inbound links are taken into account for search engine optimization, SEO, due to many strategic reasons. Links are the URL address of any other website, to which the user can directly enter by clicking on the respective text. Links are appreciated by the human web browsers since they can conveniently move on to an interesting and generally related topic. The popularity of links increased usage in most of the sites. With the rise of search engine optimization techniques, links have become a hot issue. Now, the number of links is one of the important parameters in search engine indexing. As the amount of information increases on the internet users will need to watch the best webpages and the focus of the search engines will be to find a reliable page for indexing.

 

Inbound links plays a key role in the selection of the best page for indexing. Most of the search engines have crawler programs called spiders to locate the particular keyword phrases from the available sites. For commercial websites better indexing will be their essential need to increase their web traffic and thereby their revenue. The search engine optimization process, SEO, was evolved to meet the requirements of these sites to come in the top position of the search result. It has then become the necessity of the search engine to consider a factor uncontrolled by the site owner for the comparison of the quality of the website, as most of the pages were perfected according to the SEO parameters. Inbound links was one such factor, of which the site owner can manipulate.

 

Inbound links are the citations about your site in other sites, which will direct traffic to your site. Although links are of two types, outbound and inbound, the inbound links gain more authenticity as another person is involved in rating you. It is a common principle that a room will be provided to another person, if he has any importance. Search engines adopt the inbound links as a parameter with the same assumption as the site will have some importance, if any other site has to acknowledge it. It is also true to a certain limit that we will provide links only to a reliable site, which has any potential relationship with the topic as unnecessary links will affectively disturb the viewer’s impression about the site.

 

Inbound links are thus accounted for in the indexing, with the strong belief that the site will have relevancy in the contents. However, as the SEO experts are intelligent enough to meet the criteria through short cuts, now, search engines do not solely rely upon the number of links but also the quality of the links. Link citation and link popularity are some of the factors in the evaluation of the relevancy of the inbound links.

 

Inbound links are hence accounted for as an important external parameter by the search engines, while sorting the relevant from web resources to display in the search engine result page.
